Case study from a Private Investigating Firm
Being inquisitive by nature, good hearted Private Investigators do often wonder what happened next, especially in family cases where they’ve been instructed to find a long lost relative or track down recipients of wills. Tracing missing persons can be extremely challenging even for the most experienced of Private Investigators, but these are often some of the most rewarding and heart-warming cases as well.
A Positive Result
For example, Northcourt Investigations recently had a missing person’s case where they received feedback from a recent client.
“I wanted to write to say thank you for all your assistance with regards to the finding of Ms. L. I decided to write to her myself and did so a couple of weeks ago. I can confirm that she has written back and we are now in regular communication.
Thank you again
Finding People from the Past
Mrs. F approached Northcourt Investigations after her father died. He had been a widower for over ten years, and when her mother had passed away it was assumed by the family that she had bequeathed her estate to her husband. But soon it was discovered that this was not the case.
The bequest had, in fact, been split between her father and a woman who the family had never even heard of. Her father had never told anyone about the split of the bequest, and it was a complete mystery to everyone involved.
Understandably, when this news came to light, the family were desperate to find out who this mystery woman was. Unfortunately for them, however, they had no idea where to start or how to go about finding her. It was then that Mrs. F decided to seek out professional help, getting in touch with Northcourt Investigations. The Northcourt Investigations team took on the case, and were able to track down the unknown recipient of Mrs. F’s mother’s bequest. As you can see above, they are now in contact with each other.
So after some hard work, the case was solved. But who was this mysterious beneficiary Northcourt Investigations had been brought in to find? She was, in fact, a secret sister that none of the family had any knowledge of!
Are you trying to track someone down and you don’t know where to start? Or perhaps you feel like you’ve hit a brick wall and can’t get any further with the information you already have? If this sounds familiar, then you might want to start considering Private Investigations. While the stereotype of a Private Investigator is often viewed as the seedy detective whose only concern is the pay check after the jobs done, this is often not the case, most firms assure discretion and confidentiality at all times.
