Part of the software package of this new device has been created by UK firm 7digital, a B2B music services company. While the details are scant it is likely to be a consumer app for music.
Besides, music contracts for distribution on the watch have been said to emphasise the benefit for the records label – making them distinct from other music services.
This new smart watch is said to be distinct from the recently announced Apple watch. The watch does not require a phone to send and receive calls.
